MNCG: CIMIC Liaison Course
Motta di Livenza (TV), 11 November 2018. It was concluded at the "Mario Fiore" barracks in Motta di Livenza, headquarters of the Multinational CIMIC Group, Army unit with interforce and multinational value specialized in civil-military cooperation, the "Liaison" course, dedicated to those students, already in possession of CIMIC skills, wishing to raise their knowledge to operate profitably those multinational and multidimensional contexts that characterize NATO's current operational theaters.
The course, based on an in-depth analysis of the professional profile, objectives and responsibilities The CIMIC Liaison Officer provides for the sharing of field experiences and skills intercultural, the deepening of aspects typical of the civil environment, role play and the simulation of situations operational.
The “CIMIC Liaison Course”, performed entirely in English and lasted a week, involved 29 students: 22 from Army, Navy and Carabinieri, 4 soldiers from the Armed Forces Greeks, Lebanese, Portuguese and US, 3 civilians from Italy, Austria and Slovenia.
The CIMIC operators are, to all today, employed in crisis areas where the Italian Army is called to operate and this allows to obtain a virtuous cycle of teaching: to realize what one is doing in operation studied in the classroom and teach in classroom what is learned in operation to offer training perfectly complying with current, changing and complex operational scenarios.
The Multinational CIMIC Group, which includes, among the contributing nations, beyond Italy, Greece, the Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary, today represents a real pole of excellence for the training of operators working in the delicate sector of civil-military cooperation. To date, around 1700 visitors, civilians and military, both Italian and foreign, have passed at "Mario Fiore" barracks, as evidence of a level educational offer, responding to the needs of those who have to cope with the changing challenges of today's operational scenarios.
