Workshop on CIMIC Contribution in the Current Changing Scenario

The workshop "The CIMIC Concept in Support of the Regional Plans," held from 28ᵗʰ to 30ᵗʰ January in Motta di Livenza, is concluded. CIMIC representatives of 16 top-level HQs attended the 4ᵗʰ meeting, appreciating particularly the tailored discussion and insight regarding the implementation of the CIMIC Concept in support of Regional Plans at the operational and tactical levels. Thanking to the fruitful collaboration and coordination of the CIMIC officers from SHAPE, JFCBS, JFCNF, JFCNP, LANDCOM, CIMIC COE, JSEC, USAREUR-AF, 1GNC, MNC-NE, MNC-SE, MND-SE, 5th US Army Corps, LTU JHQ, SVN JHQ, ROU Land Command, now the tactical level Commanders are more able to envision implications and commitments to better face with the conduct of CIMIC activities in a NATO art. 5 scenario, in the broader framework of the Concept for Deterrence and Defense of the EURO Atlantic Area and the descending Family of Plans. The initiative, supported by SHAPE J9 and organized by MNCG, is becoming a recurrent event in NATO focused on strengthening the relationship among the Alliance. “We Are NATO”, the Alliance payoff, is enhanced also through this interaction series to maintain the Alliance cohesion and credibility in front of the modern security challenges.
