The CIMIC operators of Motta di Livenza had a fruitful meeting with the American specialists of civil-military cooperation

Motta di Livenza, December 09th, 2021.

The International Community’s interest on Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG), the joint and combined unit specialized in civil-military cooperation, is increasingly growing. The numerous international exchanges in terms of expertise and teaching as well as the frequent visits that the Group receives testify this interest. Last but not least the visit of an American delegation of Civil Affairs, part of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) based in Kaiserslautern, which on 9th December 2021 visited the MNCG HQ, at the Mario Fiore Barracks. The delegation, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Paul Llovio, Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS G9) of the TSC, was able to visit the infrastructure and learn about the peculiarities of the unit, detailed by the commander, Colonel Mattia Zuzzi.

The possibilities for future collaborations in educational and training terms, as well as a discussion on the expansion of the Participating Nations of MNCG, were the focus of the briefings. To date, in fact, the unit currently has representatives of 5 different nationalities in addition to Italy, namely Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, which in 2022 will renew the Memorandum of Understanding confirming the common intents within the Atlantic Alliance’s objectives.
