ARMY: ADAPTIVE INTERACTION 2024 EXERCISE KICKS OFF
The “Adaptive Interaction 2024” (ADIN24) exercise, which will take place at the “Mario Fiore” Barracks in Motta di Livenza, headquarters of the Multinational CIMIC Group / 7th CIMIC Regiment, a unit of the Italian Army specializing in civil-military cooperation, will start on Nov. 27.
The purpose of the activity is to test and evaluate the capabilities of the Multinational Command Staff and CIMIC Battalion units deployed in support of NATO. About 200 CIMIC operators from different countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary, and the United States) and representatives of various NATO commands will participate in the exercise.
The activity will be carried out in a virtual scenario adherent in complexity and type to the operational contexts in which NATO might be called to intervene in. Personnel will have the opportunity to refine and improve procedures through a series of simulated activations, which mimic events similar to those that CIMIC operators would face in a real operation.
The exercise will also include a field phase at the logistics-training base “Villaggio Tempesti” in Corvara in Badia where two multinational CIMIC units will be deployed: the Tactical Cimic Teams coming from Australia, Czechia, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Hungary and United States will be lead by one Italian and one Portuguese guide.
The logistics-training base was recently renovated and supports regularly the training of Italian Army Units, Defense and Partners Nations, hosting also Sports Units as the Paralympics Sports Group of the Defense.
It is estimated that in 2024 about 2500 soldiers will have rotated working in this base.
