CIMIC QUICK IMPACT PROJECTS IN LEBANON

The UNIFIL endeavor towards fostering good relations with the local populace continues

As a main part of its Civil-Military Coordination activities, UNIFIL, in its endeavor towards fostering good relations with the local populace, invests in various quick impact projects.

During the Winter Break from Lebanese Schools, officers and soldiers of the Ghanaian, Irish, Italian, Malaysian, Polish and Slovenian contingents, voluntarily decided to distribute almost 4,000 gifts to the children of schools in 24 different Municipalities (Christians, Shia and Sunni). These gifts were purchased in South Lebanon by the Italian peacekeepers or donated by Slovenian and Italians donors.

The gifts were distributed from 16th to 28th December, in different ceremonies all over the Sector West Area of Operation.
